Daphne Joy, legal name Daphne Joy Narvaez, has deleted a social media upload that accused 50 Cent of rape and violent behavior. According toTMZ, the Instagram post was removed from the feed of the 37-year-old as of Thursday (July 11). 50 Cent has also removed uploads that reference Joy.
According to the tabloid, the Instagram post was taken down by Narvaez in an effort to keep the peace with 50 Cent for their child, Sire. The social media cleanup comes amid 50 Cent, legal name Curtis Jackson’s, defamation claims against his former romantic partner.
In March, Narvaez claimed 50 Cent was an absent parent as well as accusations of rape and assault. The allegations were made after the musician teased the model, calling her “You little sex worker” after her name appeared in a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs filed by producer Rodney “Lil’ Rod” Jones.
“Let’s put the real focus on your evil actions of raping me and physically abusing me. You are no longer my oppressor and my God will handle you from this point on. You have permanently damaged the last hope I had for you as a father to preserve our family with these last and final false claims made against me. You have broken our hearts for the last and final time,” read Joy’s post to the G-Unit rhymer.
50 Cent responded by promising legal action against Narvaez, denying the violent allegations.
“The disturbing allegations in the sworn pleadings recently filed in a court case related to Daphne Joy the mother of my twelve year old child, has required me to take all necessary legal actions to protect my son Sire,” detailed 50 Cent in a statement to VIBE at the time. “The most recent false and baseless accusations by Daphne Joy are clearly in response to my decision to seek sole custody of my son. My son Sire is my main priority and keeping him in a safe environment is my only focus at this time.”
His lawsuit was officially filed in May 2024, with his legal team asserting Joy refusing to remove the post unless he succumbs to extortion.
“Narvaez knows that Jackson did not rape or physically abuse her, yet she knowingly published the false statements to her almost 2 million followers on Instagram. Narvaez published the defamatory post, and refuses to remove it, out of sheer hatred and ill will toward Jackson.”
