Jon Hamm once swore that he’d never get married, but now he’s eating his words. The Mad Men actor recently stepped out with his fiancé Anna Oscecola at an Oscar’s afterparty and her engagement ring was on full display.
It was first reported in February that the couple were engaged following two years of dating. They originally met in 2015 while filming Mad Men. “The engagement happened a while back, but they are still on cloud nine,” a source told Us Weekly. “They have so much fun together and already feel married.”
Jon and Anna are infamously private about their relationship, and have yet to officially comment on their engagement. It’s unclear how much the actor splurged on Anna’s diamond, but she gave fans a good glimpse during their recent public outing.
Jessica Flinn-Allen, the CEO and founder of wedding and engagement ring specialist company Jessica Flinn, estimates that Jon likely spent around $422,000 on Anna’s ring.
“We can see that Anna Osecolas's ring is a traditional, timeless solitaire design, and the emerald cut diamond is an elegant cut that also makes a statement!” she explained.
“It is approximately 6ct emerald cut diamond in a solitaire setting, on a yellow gold band, which we estimate to be worth over £350,000 ($422,324 USD),” Jessica continued.
Jon was previously in a long-term relationship with actress Jennifer Westfeldt from 1997 to 2015. During their relationship, Jon was adamant that he’d never walk down the aisle. “I don’t believe in marriage or have any desire for a baby,” he said in 2012.
Jon isn’t the only Man Men alum to recently get engaged. His former co-star Christina Hendricks also had her new diamond on display during the Oscar’s weekend. The actress announced on Instagram earlier in March that she and her partner, camera operator George Bianchini, are engaged after they “proposed to each other.”
Jessica Flinn-Allen estimates that Christian’s vintage yellow diamond ring is likely made of 18ct white gold or platinum.
“A vivid fancy yellow diamond is a rare and highly sought-after gemstone with a vibrant and intense colour that can add an extraordinary level of beauty to any piece of jewellery,” the specialist explained.
“The value of a bespoke engagement ring with a one-carat vivid fancy yellow diamond can range from around £10,000 to £100,000 or more, depending on the specific details of the ring,” Jessica continued.
The expert predicts that Christiana’s engagement ring could cost nearly six figures.
“Based on the design of Christina Hendricks' engagement ring and its resemblance to Neil Lane couture pieces, we would estimate the cost to be between £35,000 and £58,000 ($46,000 and $70,000) or more, depending on the quality of the materials and gemstones used,” she explained.
