Lisa Barlow Reveals Why She Defended Jen Shah At The Reunion

May 2024 · 3 minute read

Lisa Barlow of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. She discussed the two-part finale and why she still stood up for castmate Jen Shah.

The VIDA co-owner told Cohen that she sees a different side of Shah, among other details of her feud with Heather Gay.

Angry With Heather

Cohen asked Barlow if Heather Gay's interpretation of her early on in the season affected how viewers accepted her.

"I definitely do," Barlow adamantly shared, "I think she created a narrative for me based off of a lie of knowing me for 20 years. I think when I went in there I just wanted people to hear the truth. I met her in 2017 and we know each other now, but we didn't know each other then."

Her "bad weather, tornado" reference during the reunion still stands, and she was eager to clear her name on WWHL.

Cohen continued to ask about Barlow's loyalty to Shah and whether or not the other women will forgive her erratic behavior.

"I just see Jen in a totally different way than everyone else does, " she explained, "I feel like some of the stuff that happened in Vegas, I just feel like she was misunderstood. I felt like I really got her and I really feel like she needs an ally and a good friend."

Being A Good Friend

Her pin-straight deep brown hair stayed perfectly in place, as did her modern minimalist living room. While she may appear put-together at all times, Barlow isn't afraid to speak her mind.

"Everyone can do what they want to do," she stated in regards to Meredith's disengaged approach to the drama, "I'm very passionate when I defend my friends. Meredith could've engaged a little more."

She wore a plastered smile but didn't care to hide her expression when discussing Meredith's low-energy stance.

Cohen kept the questions rolling, then addressing Shah and Mary Cosby's truce and whether or not it will last.

She hopes the two keep their relationship amicable, and never once voiced an opinion that places Shah in a negative light.

While many viewers have become stans of the unapologetic Barlow this season, others struggle to call her a genuine person.

One fan commented under the interview, "There's just something very insincere and disingenuous about Lisa. Also, she's trying way too hard to keep that peach at the reunion. Honey, fix that uneven self-tanner and calm down."

The RHOSLC cast doesn't hold peaches, so that may need some facts checked once and twice. We're slowly becoming Lisa stans and have no shame admitting that.
