Stacey Pullen is a man about town as of late. Within the last four months, the Detroit techno/tech house DJ and innovator has graced the decks of 4 different venues around the city with his well crafted late night sets. Last Thursday, he made his debut at Cielo at the popular Dance.Here.Now. party. With a capacity limit of just 325, Cielo was the perfect venue to get up close and personal with the man himself.

DJs Arkose and Anthony Cardinale got the crowd dancing with their opening tech house set and by 11:30pm the club was packed with revelers basking in the glow of photographer Yuliya Skya’s Silversquares prints of New York’s underground dance scene. By the time Dance.Here.Now.‘s Master of Ceremony Anthony Lamont announced the arrival of Pullen, the dance floor was buzzing with energy.

That intoxicating energy did not die down once during Pullen’s original techno/tech house/house-infused style of spinning which kept the partygoers dancing until the early morning hours. His masterful track selections and seamless transitions showed off his talent, creativity and longevity in the electronic music scene. But then nothing but the best is expected from someone whose mentors consist of legendary Detroit DJs Derrick May, Juan Atkins, and Kevin Saunderson.
